I am getting very excited for the holiday's this year. Christmas has always been my favorite holiday of the year. I love the decorations, the cookie making, the carols and especially the Christmas story. After my little girl was born, Christmas became even more special. I have a picture of Alexis from last year staring at my parent Christmas tree in awe of the lights and the sparkle. This year is even more exciting because Alexis understands so much more. She realizes what a Christmas Tree is. (although all of them are compared to the table top one Ms. Mandy has!) Today we made a trip to Lowes to get some new, fance LED lights for our tree. She loved the lights, decorations and the blow up Santa's and snowmen. Her favorite was a blow up of the M&M's. Alexis and I take a walk together everyday during my break at work and we usually stop in Aunt Jojo's office for a "Nummy" M&M. She pointed out the "nummy's" right away then asked me, "Mamma, I wanna eat it!"

Yes, this year is going to be great. And the years to follow are just going to be better and better!

A Suprising Night

To my Little Girl:

I thought tonight would be a rough night for us, lots of tears and frustrations, but you proved me wrong!

You gave your Daddy a hard time when he picked you up at school today. You only slept for 45 minutes cause you only like sleeping in your own bed. So when Daddy came to pick you up, you wanted to be held instead of walking and pitched a fit when he wouldn't. At dinner, you wouldn't eat your pizza and threw your green beans at me which earned you some time in your "Take a Break" spot.

But you proved me wrong...

We painted your nails for the first time ever! You loved it! You stayed so still while I was putting the paint on then kept checking it out after we were done. I put you to bed tonight and we rocked for a bit. You kept on pulling your thumb in and out of your mouth, making sure the paint was still there...So precious.

We also made a fort in the living room too. Daddy said that he used to make forts of the back porch of Nana and Granddad's house with old blankets and nails. I used to make them with anything I could drape a blanket over. Tonight, we make one with the kitchen chairs and couch cushions. You weren't sure of it at first. Daddy and me kept on making silly noises and you did not like it. You kept telling us "I no like!" You brought all you little animals into the fort and we played and played with them!

Tonight turned out to be a special night. I thought it was going to be a tough one with my tough little girl. You always suprise me little girl, with the things you say and the changes in you attitude in only minutes.

I love you little girl, more than words can say...

Love and sweet dreams,
Momma
